Palenque and the Alvin Ailey dance company.
Well, the sounds is different which mean the use of unique instruments in each dance. Particularly, I felt that Alvin dance company rhythm is faster than the Palenque. And we could see in both of them that they dance for something special and the enjoy doing that.

English is used on these sites because USA is one of the most powerful countries all over the world. So, like that is the influence of USA that everyone want or have to learn English. For the previous situation, is supposed that using English is a way to spread information, and that is totally right. We could learn about how are celebrated some holidays around the world. The food traditions in these celebrations and that is quite interesting because we are not used to see that in my country

1. Who are the "Saints of Somalia"?
R/= A family of doctors who take care of a community of people of 90000 people.
2.Describe their camp. What is their school like?
R/= They are in their backyard and the school is about two years old. There are around 850 children, with a majority of womens and girls.
3.Describe their clinic and a typical day there.
R/=Every morning they have 400 patients. More or less. Those patients are attended by only five doctors. Some of them have to be re-scheluded for the next day.

7. How have these women chosen to deal with the effects of living in a country at war?
R/=Because at first time the mother was alone and the daughter saw that the mother needed that help. The people also needed. So that feeling of helping people motivated her and her mother to deal with the effects of living in a country at war.
8.Why did they speak on TED talks? What should we learn from them?
R/= Because TED spreads ideas so that activity that those women are doing is really incredible and we should learn that the things have to be donde without expecting anything from the other

How have either a sport, hobby, or music shaped your own personal culture?
I think that music, hobbies and sports have contributed to conform my own culture. Sports give me discipline, competitiveness, good shape, passion. Soccer is definitely the one that provides me all tohse things that I mentioned before. When I play soccer I am always happy and enjoy a lot of the match. When I am in a competition I enjoy that more I feel the pression and also I feel that something is in game and I have to make and effort to achieve that. Music give me differents emotions, it depends of the moment but "without music, world would be a mistake" as Nietzche said. Hobbies give me time for me. Just me. So all those things have created my own culture.
Which one I would lend money to?
Well, I think that I would lend money without doubting to all of them but Martha. Why? Martha is apllying for her first Kiva loan and have not finished paying that. On the other hand, there are Blanca and Ericka who have applied for loans before, and they have paid some of the loans and are paying the others,Between both of them I would choose Blanca, because her business is bigger and I could see that she is paying the loans in fees of 126 USD responsibly. So that give me security to lend her money firt. By the way I would lend money to Ericka then.

1. How are matatu drivers treated in his experience with the BBC?
R/= Matatu drivers are considered "the black sheep of Kenya". Criminals, dangerous people who break rules and laws. While doing their job they are always in risk of being arrested for breaking the traffic rules. Due to sterotypes like these, Matatu drivers are treated really bad. Police is always asking them for money to let them do their job for a while and do not take them to prison.
As we could read in the Blog, the experience with the BBC was not the exception. They were blame of jumping the traffic light but they really did not. By the way, they ended up at the parking yard at Central police station. After that, we can see the injustice Matatu drivers have to deal with.
2. Do Barranquilleros have the same negative opinion of mototaxistas as the Kenyans have of matatu drivers?
R/= We have a similar opinion about the mototaxistas, but I think that the Barranquillero´s opinion is more radical than the Kenyans. Here in Barranquilla when people see a person on a motorbike close to them , inmediately think that they are about to be stolen, or murdered because we see in the media that the majority of the crimes are commited on a motorbike, or they use motorbike for a fast murder and then they escape on the motorbike. Also for kidnapping are used the motorbikes. So the stereoype abou the mototaxistas is really negative.

Racism against AfroColombianos
Such a sad situation we have just seen in the video. Black people have been being despised since the beginning of the history. They have always been treated like slaves. In fact, a long time ago they were the slaves of the spanish colonizers.
Some people have in mind that black people are made for doing "the dirty job". I want to mean, things that the white man will not do because he thinks he is too superior to do that thing.
In Colombia, some people have that thinking in mind. So, while many people think like that, we are not going to move forward our society. They are part of our country, we must take in count their problems and try to help in what we can. They are humans and have rights, so we must respect that and help them.
